Abstract :
A model of a two-pole turbogenerator airgap region is developed in sufficient detail to predict the unbalanced magnetic pull on the rotor, under no-load conditions, caused by static eccentricity. The effects of rotor magnetic saturation and eddy currents are taken into account using a set of rotor surface impedances. The computer program is relatively simple and extremely fast in computation time on a modest PC
