Abstract :
The authors have proposed a new multiuser detection strategy for demodulation in synchronous and asynchronous code-division multiple access based on genetic algorithms (GAs). The genetic implementation of the optimal multiuser detector for code division multiple access (CDMA) is studied. The proposed genetic detector outperforms the conventional detector and multistage detector in terms of bit error rate and near-far resistance. It needs just a few generations to reach the near optimum solution
