  • Abstract
    The commenter disagrees with P. Atten et. al. (ibid., vol.23, no.4, p.705-11, 1987) on their prediction of turbulence degree and precipitation efficiency, independent of aerodynamic properties of the electrostatic precipitator. In replying the authors claim their arguments to be valid in zones where the space charge due to the particles is relatively high.<>
