Abstract :
A method of using matrix transformations to obtain a diagonal open-loop transfer matrix and its application to the design of linear multivariable control systems are presented. Numerous examples are used to illustrate the usefulness of the design procedure, and a justification for it is presented by a discussion of system eigenvalues.
