Process control-the future

The process industries comprise the largest UK manufacturing sector, and include chemicals, pharmaceuticals, minerals and food. Process control is a critical component of their success, but its application has been variable. In the future the process industries will need to become even more competitive driven by global competition. Jointly exploiting process and control will intimately change the nature of the industry to meet the changing market needs.
