Abstract
In this paper we determine theoretically the critical charge density in the system grounded metallic sphere, uniformly charged dielectric plane, in the presence of grounded surfaces. This is a situation frequently encountered in industrial condition and is important in evaluating the danger of the electrostatic discharges
