Abstract :
Four rockets have been launched, each carrying equipment to measure the amplitude of the wavefield radiated into the ionosphere by a low-frequency transmitter on the ground. The experimental equipment is described in some detail, and the special precautions and environmental testing required for rocket experiments are discussed. The results are presented briefly.
