Precision a.c./d.c. resistance standards

The paper describes the continued efforts at the National Physical Laboratory to meet the changing needs of precise resistance standards which should now not only have good secular stability but also an in-phase component which will not change appreciably up to a frequency of 1.6kHz. The construction of resistance standards of between 1¿ and 10k¿ which fulfil both requirements is described.
