Abstract :
A multi-rate, multibit 2-2 MASH ΔΣ audio DAC is proposed to overcome THD+N limitations due to out-of-band noise, clock jitter, and DAC latch error. The ΔΣ DAC, combined with a ground-referenced Class-G headphone driver for mobile applications, achieves 110 dB dynamic range and 4.03 mW/channel power consumption. The achievable output power is 31 mW and the peak pop-and-click noise is 155 μV.
