Abstract :
There have been only two editors of the IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics since its inception (as the Transactions of the IRE Professional group on Broadcast and Television Receivers) in January 1952. Upon the death of Chester W. Sall, I became Editor beginning in May 1980. After overseeing the publication of approximately 125 issues of the IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, involving the review of more than 15,000 papers, I have decided to retire as Editor, effective at the end of 2010.
