Abstract :
This paper describes the direction the ATM Forum (ATMF) is adopting for the support of voice and telephony over ATM (VTOA) to the desktop. The goals of the ATMF are clearly outlined, along with the functional requirements of VTOA. The areas of access and interworking are both covered, in addition to the services and features supported.
