Abstract
A 2003 paper by Zheng, Tseng, and Yu presented closed-form solutions for the angles of arrival of returns from two targets when using four-channel monopulse radar. In this comment, we present a mathematically equivalent algorithm developed by Karl Baur in the 1970s that has a marginally lower computational complexity. Baur´s work has remained largely unknown, because it was published in German and never translated into English.
