Abstract :
A graphoanalytical method for the equivalent control air gap is described. The method analyses the operation of the amplifier-servomotor at standstill, establishing an expression for the starting torque. The operating principle of the amplifier servomotor is briefly outlined. It is shown that this new element has a high power gain, so that it can be controlled by d.c. signals from input transducers (photodiodes, thermistors etc.), the direction of rotation depending on the direction of the control signal. This leads to considerable simplification of the automatic control system, eliminating the amplifier, the d.c./a.c. convertors and their supply cells. A comparison is made between the results of the theoretical analysis and experimental results.
