  • Abstract
Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) has a wide application in civil and military fields. Getting a high-fidelity simulated ISAR echo is of great importance in related system design and research. So a 3-D model instead of a scattering center model is built for interested target, and the electromagnetic simulation of backscattered electric field is carried out by electromagnetic calculation. In consideration of the huge computation burden of electromagnetic calculation at high frequencies, a method based on Physical Optics (PO) is proposed to calculate the scattering field and a parallel platform which consists of GPGPU and CPU is built to satisfy the requirement of rapid echo generation. The whole system adopts some parallel optimization methods including cluster scheduling. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the platform has a great potential for ISAR system design and theoretical analysis.
