Abstract :
The first article in this series dealt on the need for a sound management philosophy, using Casca from ´Julius Caesar´ as an exemplar. Then in the second article we looked at Caliban and Miranda from ´The Tempest´ to understand the need for training of the workforce so that new, systematic management practices can be introduced. Now we begin to look at the type of understanding people need if they are to contribute fully to the success of a business. Everyone involved in a process, and most importantly the manager of that process, must understand how it works. The author explores this with reference to the character Dogberry from ´Much Ado About Nothing´.
