Practical digital complex sampling scheme

Complex sampling is often employed to digitise a bandpass signal which is received at a high centre frequency and has to be processed further using baseband techniques. A practical scheme for complex digital sampling is developed where at each stage of processing the sampling rate is kept to a value not exceeding twice the highest frequency component contained in the baseband signal thus enabling it to minimise the workload for the digital signal processors.
