Abstract :
Field theory suggests that duality exists between electrostatic and electromagnetic machines. Circuit theory is used to develop a generalised electrostatic-machine theory as a dual of the generalised electromagneticmachine theory. Various electrostatic machines are shown in their primitive forms, and their electromagnetic counterparts are suggested.
