  • Abstract
    The paper describes initial experiments on an unconventional electrostatic high-voltage generator in which charge is carried to the output terminal by a stream of insulating liquid moving at a few metres per second. Approximately 500kV on open circuit and 30¿A on short circuit have been obtained from the model generator tested; a much larger machine is under construction.
