Abstract :
This paper describes a single terminal step distance scheme using commercially available relays for use on a six-phase transmission line, and gives the results of its performance for simulated faults on a six-phase transmission system with all phases in service, and with one, two, or three phases out of service. This paper also gives an overview and evaluation of the testing of the scheme via low level analog test sets. This project was sponsored by Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the Department of Energy (DOE), Empire State Electric Energy Research Corporation (ESEERCO), New York State Energy Office (SEO), New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and New York State Electric and Gas Corporation (NYSEG)
