Abstract :
This article describes a project that proposes the implementation of interactive computing laboratories in educational centers, encouraging cost savings from an environmental perspective. This paper proposes the use of computing tools and services developed in free software; computer programs are aimed to improve the teaching-learning process of the actors in the education sector. The technical requirements for the implementation of these laboratories are minimal, allowing the reuse of old computers or new terminals but with low-energy consumption without affecting the performance of the laboratory from the point of view of users; this helps with the decline of the so-called technological waste because it prolongs the life of the equipment and promotes a culture of environmental preservation. The project proposes the massification of computing laboratories due to its low cost and their ability to adapt content for different scenarios of the education sector.
