Title :
Electrical and Optical Semiconductors: Fundamental Tools (review of "High-Speed Electronics and Optoelectronics" (Sheila Prasad, S. , et al)]
Abstract :
This book is a device-oriented text that describes the basic physics, models, and circuits of modern analog semiconductor devices. The core chapters cover three-terminal electronic devices, optical semiconductor devices, and electronic applications. The other two chapters cover the fundamental physics of semiconductors and modeling of three-terminal devices. Each chapter starts with an executive summary and contains a good problem set and examples. If you need one book to refresh yourself regarding semiconductors or to get an overview of modern high-speed semiconductors, this is an excellent choice. The book would also make a good text for a graduate overview course in semiconductor devices. The book has a good balance of depth and breadth of material.
