Abstract :
We have developed an optimization method for current density distribution in actively shielded multipole magnets, based on linear programming with direct setting of restrictions on the multipole field strengths of the central and stray fields. In conjunction with this method, we also present a positional optimization of the coil configurations by the direct search method
