Abstract :
A mixed Galerkin and collocation approach to implement the Boundary Element Method (BEM) for electromagnetics is proposed in this paper. With this mixed approach the numerical problems caused by geometric corners and edges can be avoided and the numerical accuracy can be improved. A boundary integral equation formulation for 3-D magnetostatics using equivalent charges is implemented by means of this mixed approach. Numerical examples show the advantages of the mixed Galerkin and collocation approach
