Abstract :
In this paper, the problem of the mathematical modelling of the human brain subjected to AC magnetic field is presented. This is to model a novel therapeutical treatment in psychiatry, namely healing of deep depression. The human brain may be represented by a multilayer structure, each layer of which is described by electric conductivity. Since the conductivities are not of unique value, a special approach which averages these values has been used. The calculations serve to design a coil, its dimensions and supplying parameters, according to medical expectations
