Abstract
The conception of an annular induction plasma is elaborated. A simplified 1D model is introduced to determine the geometry of a prototype. A 3D model based on AV formulation is then used to modify the values obtained by a 1D model. The finite element method is applied to the electromagnetic and thermal equation, in order to obtain the field and temperature distribution inside the plasma. The possibility of reducing the problem to an axisymmetric one is then studied
