Abstract :
The ACM Multimedia Grand Challenge went into its third round in 2011 and proved to be the most competitive so far. This report provides an overview of the competition, the sponsored challenges, and the winning teams. The authors hope to inspire future sponsorships and participation and to pay homage and honor to the participants who did excellent work. These projects should definitely be regarded as showcases of the multimedia community.
