Abstract :
Artificial-pollution tests are proposed in which the insulator self-washing characteristics are taken into account. The results obtained on different insulator types with high-and low-voltage tests suggest the introduction of convenient coefficients, with which information could be gained about the performance of polluted insulators under some typical conditions.
