Abstract
Sm2O3 thin films have been prepared on biaxial textured Ni-5%W metallic substrates by chemical solution deposition. Precursor film crystallizes at 1000°C in reduced atmosphere and forms a pure Sm2O3 cubic phase with (004) orientation. The Sm2O3 film shows an excellent biaxial texture. A homogenous and crack-free surface is observed.
