Abstract
The authors present a solvothermal process to fabricate hollow CeO2 microspheres. Polyvinyl pyrrolidone is employed as polymer surfactant to assist the forming process of hollow structured microspheres in the solution. The as-prepared samples are characterised through X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy, and the catalytic activity is investigated through measuring the conversion of CO to CO2 over the catalysts.
