Abstract :
Sometimes, I sit back and wonder where we are going. Especially in data networking. Why do we need it? There are, of course, simple applications like electronic mail and file transfer, or more complex special applications like Common Channel Interoffice Signalling and 800 service. But what will make data networking ubiquitous? Operations Systems, of course! I expect tremendous growth in Operations Systems in the next five years and beyond. Why?
