Abstract :
An actively Q-switched, 1.05 ??m fibre laser delivering 10 ns pulses with high repetition rate (tunable in the range 100 kHz 1 MHz) is reported. These are believed to be the shortest pulses and highest repetition rates demonstrated to date from an actively Q-switched all-in-fibre laser. Pulse energies between 3 and 28 ??J have been achieved directly from the oscillator.
