Abstract :
Even though dual carrier modulation possesses outstanding features, it has a weak point in that the demodulation complexity rapidly rises as the modulation order increases. Proposed is a simple and efficient demodulation scheme that solves the problem by limiting the number of candidate symbols. Numerical and simulation results show that the proposed scheme effectively decreases demodulation complexity while presenting comparable error performance to the ordinary maximum likelihood method.
