Abstract :
A compact, multiband, planar, and low-profile wide- band code division multiple access (WCDMA)AVLAN antenna is presented in this letter. A metallized dielectric loading technique using a low-cost FR4-type material has been implemented to achieve a small footprint of 18 × 21 mm2 instead of using expensive ceramics. The WCDMA/WLAN antenna achieves multiband operation with good impedance matching and radiation behavior. Antenna measurements are presented to validate the simulations.
