    Hasan and Hasan (IEEE Trans. Automat. Control., Vol.41, p.615-17, 1996) give a necessary and sufficient condition for the positive definiteness of a quadratic programming problem. The purpose of this paper is to point out that the main result in the above-mentioned paper by is erroneous.
