Abstract
The paper is focusing on evaluating the real technical losses within the distribution network. The study was conducted for a distribution system operator within the Romanian Power System. An algorithm is proposed by the authors being able to compute the load dependent and non dependent technical losses. The analyzed area is represented by a real part of the Romanian Power System. Quantitative and qualitative on-field measurements are provided and discussed, followed by the technical losses computing based on the provided algorithm.
