  • Abstract
The Augmentation Principle, which is a generalization of the well-known Substitution Theorem, is presented. This principle establishes that a circuit´s DC operating point remains constant over all values of resistors placed in series with a set of properly chosen voltage sources or placed in parallel with a set of properly chosen current sources. A useful application of the Augmentation Principle to circuit simulation using continuation methods is also given
