Abstract :
Peano-Hilbert curves can be used to destroy the spatial autocorrelation of an image. The effectiveness of the approach, which applies to cryptography and associative memories, stems from the fractal structure of such curves. The fractal topology supports pseudo-random pixel remapping, and the self-similarity of the layout strongly simplifies electronic circuit implementations
