Abstract :
Filter and oscillator design using loss compensated stripline ring resonators becomes impracticable as the size of the resonators decreases with increasing frequency. The design of a 6 GHz oscillator employing the second tunable mode of a 2 GHz fundamental mode resonator, demonstrating effective mode suppression and realisation using a larger structure, is presented
