Abstract :
A polymeric 2×2 electro-optic switch has been fabricated using the modified bifurcation optically active type of waveguide, which consists of two multimode regions and a phase controlling region. This structure is insensitive to processing environment, unlike conventional 2×2 structures. The operating voltage is 10 V with an electrode length of 12 mm, and crosstalk is ~-18 dB
