Abstract
The field- and frequency-dependent AC susceptibility of a melt-textured Y-Ba-Cu-O was measured at 77 K and under various field conditions. The RMS values of the applied AC induction (B/sub ac,rms/) were scanned up to 13 mT, and the DC inductions were 0, 20, 40, 75, and 100 mT. The frequencies scanned ranged from 10 to 3800 Hz. The experiments show that AC susceptibility of the HTS largely depends on frequency and on both the AC and DC induction.
