Abstract :
A synthesis technique is employed for the preliminary design of Pierce electron guns depending upon the input design beam parameters. In this brief, an improved approach for the synthesis of anode aperture is proposed. This approach results in much closer agreement with the actual values of the same, when compared with several available guns. It also does not require use of any empirical factor
