Abstract :
A simple, accurate, and efficient method to reconstruct a co-directional grating coupler device, such as a long-period fibre grating from the specified transmission spectra is presented. The algorithm utilises a layer-peeling approach, and is based on a discretised-medium approximation to the transfer-matrix method to solve the coupled-mode equations
