Abstract
The paper presents a new method for energy loss allocation in radial distribution networks (DN) with dispersed generation (DG). The method uses the energy summation algorithm. It is based on the branch oriented approach and uses statistical representation of daily load and generation curves (DLC and DGC). Energy loss allocation is performed in one step, solving only one power flow for calculation of average node voltages that are considered constant for an analyzed calculation period. Modeling of DG in energy summation algorithm is presented depending on its control status and DGC. Results of the application of the method on modified 32-node test system are presented and discussed. The presented results illustrate that algorithm gives fast, simple and efficient energy loss allocation using minimum data and calculations, with an acceptable level of accuracy.
