Abstract :
The paper gives the results of an investigation of the mean temperature of the are plasma column. Results show weak influence of magnetic flux density of a transverse magnetic field on temperature at subsonic velocity of the are. We propose a formula for an equation of the mean temperature of the are within the examined ranges of current, channel width and magnetic flux density.
