Abstract :
A stochastic, discrete, implicit model-following control law is developed for a stability augmentation and control system for the pitch axis of a flexible-bodied aircraft. Particular attention is paid to the choice of weighting matrices in the quadratic i.p. so as to give a compromise between handling, gust alleviation amd modal suppression.
