Abstract
A problem very familiar to power-distribution engineers, namely, the distribution systems voltage studies and regulation, is dealt with in this paper. Simulation techniques are used and models of the system and its loading are formed. The statistics of the load variations are considered and a practical way for using them is suggested. A method of checking the feasibility of any voltage regulation program is developed. If a program is feasible, an optimal area for the regulator operation is deter mined via an optimisation procedure.
