Abstract :
According to Cisco Visual Networking Index, by 2012 Internet video will account for over 50 percent of consumer Internet traffic. The growing demand for video delivery triggers many technical and non-technical challenges, especially taking into account fierce competition in the market. No doubt that multicasting is the most effective and efficient method of video delivery in computer networks. Therefore, a lot of attention has been paid to multicasting recently. The book by Joseph and Mulugu is a remarkable response to above-mentioned issues. The authors have provided an excel-lent textbook covering the newest multicast technologies available on the Internet.
