Abstract :
In his EM Programmer´s Notebook in the June 2009 issue of the Magazine, David B. Davidson presented a paper by Edward J. Rothwell [1] on the exponential approximations of some special functions, i.e., several ordinary and modified Bessel functions, which play a central role in numerical electromagnetic. Dr. Rothwell also included examples for diffraction by a circular aperture, radiation from an aperture antenna, transient reflection from Debye and Lorentz media, and scattering by a conducting strip.
