Abstract
This paper presents a compact planar micro strip ultra-wideband (UWB) band pass filter (BPF) for the use in UWB wireless communication applications set by Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The filter is compact in size with dimension 17 × 17 × 1 mm3 of the ground plane. For designing of this structure FR-4 substrate having thickness of 1 mm and dielectric constant of 4.9 has been used. The electromagnetic simulation software, computer simulation technology microwave studio (CST MWS) is used for the simulation and analysis of the designed structure. The insertion loss of proposed filter is > -0.2 dB at 6.8 GHz and very flat over whole band and return loss is less than -18 dB.
