Abstract
This paper describes the comprehensive system of computer-aided design and management of electrical contracts (c.a.d.m.e.c.). This was developed for the Ince `B¿ power station to give some aid to the design of the cabling system, but primarily as the means of issuing to the erection contractor working instructions for all electrical and Control equipment and cabling installation together with the facility for progressing and evaluating the work. The paper describes the system, explains why it was developed, discusses the experience gained in its operation and the further developments considered necessary for future projects.
